Lacing up…
On October 10th, 2018, the Nike+ Running app asked me to nickname my shoes. My running journey began.
I nicknamed my Nike Pegasus 33’s, Dziadek’s, which means grandfather in Polish. Antoni is my last grandparent whom is alive and very much so. At 84 years old, he still gets up every morning at 5am to get a head start on his chores, tend to his garden, and even amuse the local florist and town’s people. If I keep running, I know he’ll keep going.
Then came November and I saw my first live Marathon. Instantly hooked and I knew it had to be done.
So, now the Marathon journey begins. As the months lead up to 26.2, I realize this is going to be a lifelong journey of running, and I am falling in love more and more, each step of the way.
